Kevin Brassard, Jared Hamilton, and Emily Reardon of the Nichols College Office of Information Technology recently held a presentation at the annual Northeast Regional Ellucian Colleague User Group meeting in Leominster, Mass. The focus of the presentation was the integration of the Institutional Research and Reporting function into the Information Technology department, and the opportunities that arose from this move. One of the focal points of the presentation was the College’s development of an enterprise data warehouse, which is providing new opportunities to analyze longitudinal data in a quicker, more structured manner. The session was extremely well-attended, with significant audience interest in some of our novel approaches to maintaining historical data, as well as future opportunities for predictive analytics.
