It’s On Us: Nichols Joins Campaign Against Campus Sexual Violence/Assault

Nichols College is proud to participate in the national It’s On Us campaign against campus sexual violence and assault.

October is National Domestic Assault Awareness Month. As such, it seems like the appropriate time to kick off a year-long effort to continue to raise issues related to domestic assault and sexual misconduct on college campuses and beyond.

On the first Monday of every month you are likely to see Nichols faculty and staff wearing a purple shirt that looks like this:

Its On Us Campaign

Anyone who sees a person wearing the shirt above should know that the individual is committed to continuing the community discussion surrounding sexual assault; aims to raise awareness of the topic on our campus; and knows the resources that exist on our campus.

If you would like to join in the efforts please send a quick email with your shirt size to Dean of Students P.J. Boggio at pj.boggio@nichols.edu and we will order you a similar shirt to wear in the months to come.

“Our hope is to see many in our community representing our collective effort to move the needle when it comes to issues of sexual or interpersonal violence on our campus,” said Dean Boggio. “If you have any questions regarding this initiative or on-campus resources related to the Nichols College Sexual Misconduct Policy please contact me, and I will be happy to share.”

It’s On Us to make a difference at Nichols College!
