Several members of the Nichols community have requested an informal discussion about the recent debate of whether the U.S. Senate should appoint Judge Brett Kavanaugh to become a U.S. Supreme Court justice. President Donald Trump nominated Kavanaugh this past summer, and the judge has had to face allegations of sexual assault, partisanship, and poor temperament.
To address the controversial Kavanaugh nomination, the Institute for Women’s Leadership (IWL) at Nichols College is hosting a discussion Thursday, Oct. 4, from 3:05 to 4:05 p.m. in the IWL Suite (Academic Building 206). There will not be a panel of experts; the hope is for there to be a space for the campus community to have a meaningful conversation – on topics such as the #MeToo movement, #TimesUp, communication style, the role of the media, and other issues.
This is open to Nichols students, faculty, and staff.
