A group of eight students represented Nichols College and the Nichols Institute for Women’s Leadership (IWL) this month at the largest women’s conference in the country, held in Boston. The 13th annual Massachusetts Conference For Women featured keynote speakers Oscar-winning actresses Viola Davis and Meryl Streep, in addition to icons such as Ms. magazine founder and women’s rights leader Gloria Steinem and fashion designer Diane Von Furstenberg. Breakout sessions were led by experts on issues impacting women. Boston Mayor Marty Walsh and Governor Charlie Baker spoke to the accomplishments of the state’s capital city and all of Massachusetts regarding women’s empowerment.
Nichols attendees shared their experiences in an IWL blog post, “IWL Attends Largest Women’s Conference in the U.S.”
