Athletics Update: Fall 2017

ICE HOCKEY (W): Junior Kelly Ferreira was been named the Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) Player of the Week on Monday, Dec. 4.

BASKETBALL (M): Senior Daequon Antoine was been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Men’s Basketball Player of the Week on Monday, Dec. 4.

BASKETBALL (W): Junior Amy Assad was been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Women’s Basketball Player of the Week on Monday, Dec. 4.

ICE HOCKEY (M): Freshman Oliver Arnberg was named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Men’s Ice Hockey Player of the Week on Monday, Nov. 13.

FOOTBALL: Senior Brett McEvoy was named to the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Football and Worcester Area Football Association All-Star First Team as a linebacker. The senior finishes his career as the program’s all-time leader in tackles (385), punts (207) and yards (7,237).

TENNIS (W): The Bison captured their second-straight Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Women’s Tennis Championship with a 5-1 win over Endicott on Oct. 21. Led by sophomore and CCC Player of the Year Amarie Settinwongse, they will compete in the NCAA Tournament next May.

FIELD HOCKEY: The Nichols College field hockey program posted its highest win total since 2012 (eight). Led by first-year head coach Jenn Townsend ’15, the Bison combined to win just three games in each of the last two years.

SOCCER (W): Junior Brooke Downey led the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) in saves (150) after finished second as a sophomore in 2016.
