Lee Cappola ‘92 of Fiskdale, Mass., has been appointed to the Nichols College Board of Advisors. He is chief information officer for the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs.
Cappola graduated from Nichols, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, in 1992. With over 25 years of information technology leadership experience, his career has spanned a diverse set of industries, including retail, pharmacy, manufacturing, and software development. In 2016, Cappola was awarded the CIO100 award from CIO Magazine, was a BostonCIO corporate finalist in 2017, and participated this year on the Massachusetts Digital Government Summit advisory board. He has obtained industry certifications in Six Sigma, ITIL Foundation, PRINCE2, agile practitioner, and project management disciplines.
The Nichols College Board of Advisors is a volunteer board established in 2007 by the Nichols Board of Trustees. Its members are accomplished alumni and friends of Nichols. The board meets semi-annually, sometimes in conjunction with special events designed to immerse participants in intellectual and social activities with faculty, students, trustees, and friends. The meetings are designed to use the members’ expertise and talents to better the College’s strategic goals.
