Dr. Jeffrey McKee is a physical anthropologist at The Ohio State University and has worked and studied in South Africa. From 1986 to 1996, Dr. McKee served as a senior lecturer at the University of Witwatersrand Medical School in Johannesburg, South Africa. He comes to Nichols College Wednesday, Sept. 19, as part of the Fischer Institute’s ongoing Social Justice Speaker Series – with the special co-sponsorship of Nichols Reads this semester – to share his first-hand experiences witnessing South Africa under Apartheid. Dr. McKee’s presentation complements the 2018 Nichols Reads choice, Born a Crime, in which The Daily Show host Trevor Noah shares his experiences growing up in South Africa.
