Short Stories by Professor Lisa Taylor to be Published This Spring

English Professor Lisa C. Taylor was invited to be a visiting writer and speaker at Norwalk Community College in November. The college used her short story collection in their writing classes this semester. Professor Taylor also received an AAUP Development Award for her project “Tenor and Turbulence in Hybrid Writing Forms and Diverse Voices.” This project includes a launch for her new book of short stories and co-teaching a master class with another writer in Ireland in July.

Taylor’s new work will be published in the Tahoma Literary Review in March 2018.

NICHOLS POETRY GALA IN APRIL

She will again host and emcee the 4th annual Nichols Poetry Gala (sponsored by Fischer Institute) on April 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the library. A secret guest poet will be the featured reader and there will be an open mic. Poetry Club members, students, faculty, and friends are invited to attend and read.
